HEALTH CONDITION

Good Morning to all and especially newcomers and those just coming around! Blessings of this day.

Just For Today, remind yourself or try this on for size. You can recognize that you have a "health condition" that can be successfully treated, a day at a time ,rather than spending your time worrying about whats wrong with yourself. Anyone is welcome to the "free trial period" and afterward you are free to choose the old way of living if you like......We suggest making a meeting, listening to learn and learn to listen, share from your heart(when you can) and put in place the all important "emotional acceptance of utter defeat" from substance abuse(the healing can then begin). See a new picture of yourself and keep working toward our ultimate primary purpose, being of maximum service to the God of your understanding(even if that is no God at all  ,but a Higher Power, greater than you and that Power only need be loving and caring and greater than you)We come from all walks of life and none are unique, some may have just been treating themselves a little longer than others. Just For Today ,wont you join us ,take care of that health condition and learn to live a life happy ,joyous and free. WE do it together. Have a blessed and productive day..smile

Thanks...Mike for the insight. You're right, there is a benefit to working the program, and the results are both rewarding and plentiful. We need to forge an alliance with other recovering alcoholics if we are to be successful ourselves, just like you said. And when you couple that with a firm resolve that can sustain us in the face of all out adversity, you have the makings of a "purpose driven life", full of meaning and potential. And that's only the beginning. A steadfast dedication is also required to achieve lasting sobriety and a revolving commitment is necessary for sustained growth. And once again, the benefits outweigh the challenges...hands down.

All that's required from us is a willingness to change, and a desire to remain sober above all else. And it doesn't end there. We must develop a sober routine that can stand the test of time, as well as a furtherance of our faith that can ultimately bring purpose and meaning to our lives, over time. And the list goes on and on. So for now, I'll continue to strive for something better myself, with the hopes of gaining that much more out of life and sobriety -one day at a time.  And for that I say...thank you.

~God bless~
