So, I am taking a step down/sideways at work....

So, to make my life less complex, I am making a move with less "responsibility" and "prestige" for more time off with the fam and quality of life.  The pay will be fairly close, if  not a bit of a loss, but I am really feeling like it is the right thing to do.  I am going to focus on the fam by spending actual time with the kids and wifey.  I have a few hoops to jump through to make the move, but the process has begun and is irrevocable now.  I am probably going to have to work through some issues that deal with humility, but I am very thankful to the AA program for teaching humility and really, for being a drunk in the first place so that everyday I can thank my HP for another day of sobriety!

Good luck with the move, yes we always have trade offs. Sounds like you have thought it out pretty well and you'll have good opportunity to work on humility and ego :)).

Like thet say, nobody ever lays on their death bed wishing they had spent more time at work...

We reach a stage of selflessness thats is incredible compared to yesteryear, what a wonderful spiritual principle learned and applied daily in our lives attitudes and behaviors. As always 'MORE WILL BE REVEALED'!         smile

Thanks for the inputs my friends. Right now I am doing a PAINFUL bunch of unneeded training that I frankly am not able to get "up" for. I have some headache/eye thing that is pretty painful and it is pretty hard to focus on the training. Anyhoo, I am keeping my nose to the grindstone and pumping it out.
