My daughter and her fiance felt the quake in Virginia, stuff falling off the walls etc. Nobody/nothing hurt. Bonus for me---a nice conversation with her, mostly about her upcoming wedding, to which I am not only invited, but am fully involved in!!! Talk about healing and gratitude and living amends and that new freedom and happiness!!!
Awesome Lee,good to see ya.We are supposed to be headin to Florida this Saturday ,but nature may have other plans.we'll see.....Lost dreams do awaken huh,only through God's grace of recovery and life....

Such great news about the wedding Lee. So special to be involved in these things, and to want to be involved, and to be welcome. These things are the real stuff of life and we could so easily have missed it. Sorry to hear about the quake. No fun at all and I hope everyone is OK.
Where I live, Christchurh NZ, we have taken a real beating from quakes in the last 12 months, our CBD is wiped out, several of my neighbours houses are wrecked and our own house is on a lean, one end is about 6 inches below the other, but otherwise we are ok. Almost every house in the street except ours lost its bricks. Many of the AA meetings lost their rooms, but it is amazing how resilient the spirit of AA is. The meetings still run, often in private homes, people are still getting sober and the message is still being carried. I don't know of anyone who picked up as a result of the quakes, though some are feeling a bit stressed. Just goes to show life brings great joy and great tragedy and we can stay sober through it all if we have taken the steps.
Aww Lee I know how you feel. My oldest daughter Erin is getting married this weekend. I loved the fact that I am sober and can truly be involved and share her happiness. Wishing you all the luck with your wedding plans. :}
