It just keeps gettin better - NOT!

OMG! Can my life get any worse?

Well, sure, of course it can, especially if I drink! Not gonna do that!

The John thing has eased some, I have felt you're prayers and love, thank you all so much.  And the awesome replies to my request, well, there are no words to express my gratitude.

Just got off the phone with my mother, (she has "Joyce-ism"), they will be here TUESDAY! Thank the good Lord my son and I are leaving Friday morning for a weekend retreat with our church, so that will cut the visit short. But not short enough. I'm gonna head to a f2f tonight, and should be able to get 2 in tomorrow cause that will be it when the folks show up. And won't be hanging out here much either.... I'm scared guys. Just because I'm changing doesn't mean my mother is and it could get ugly. I will not accept the unacceptable anymore from her, I did that thru all my years of drinking because I had no clue whether she was right or not. Now that the fog has lifted somewhat, I KNOW she is not always right and I can't be her doormat any longer.  So, ya'll keep the prayers coming this way for a bit longer......

You're all, always,  in mine.

Peace, love, and hugs.

Ya'll stay sober now, ya hear!

Found my answer!

"This was our course: We realized that the people who wronged us were perhaps spiritually sick. Though we did not like their symptoms and the way these disturbed us, they, like ourselves, were sick too. We asked God to help us show them the same tolerance, pity, and patience that we would cheerfully grant a sick friend. When a person offended we said to ourselves, "This is a sick man. How can I be helpful to him? God save me from being angry. Thy will be done."
