well now, three days working in Newcstle upon tyne, achieved far more than I estimated, then a productive targets and objectives setting meeting today in Birmingham, a meeting every night this week, an unexpected pay rise and an unexpected bonus payment. Management have agreed that I can self manage my work so I can work in area before and after the long distance scottish conventions. Result!

to top it all, got tickets for the hamsters farewell gig tomorrow and they're doing the ZZ Top set and the Jimi Hendrix set and their own material for an encore!

Finally, first of the big trips start on Sunday - no phone, no e mail, no postman for a long week.

here ends day 1. Decided to skip berwick on tweed due to time pressures. The gig last night was awsome. Almost 3 hours from the hardest working came in the uk. Got home about half midnight so a late start this mornin. Left at 9 am got to my bro's 9 hours and 350 miles later. No motorway (free way?) at all and at least 150 miles of very minor roads.
