Well, we've made it through the first winter storm of the season!  We went for 12 hours without electricity because the heavy wet snow, combined with the high winds, knocked down a lot of trees and powerlines!  October 5 is absurdly early, EVEN for this far north!


Got kinda chilly living in a home that is all electric!  You might say that all the folks living in my region "Had a blackout, then had to admit they were powerless"! 


Oh well, we are back to feeding our electrical addiction, now, though.  It's good, once in a while, to have to realize all that we take for granted, (even the Internet).

yes!!! october 5 is way too early for snow storms!!!


can you take what you like and leave the rest????


its darn cold where i am too but we've yet to see snow, although it feels like its on its way


thank God my landlord finally turned the heat on in my apartment building!!!

You LUCKY PEOPLE! Snow and ice at this time of year! I love Ice climbing and mountaineering in snow but it's that rare in the UK! It's still warm enough over here to go swimming in the sea if you're mad enough.
