...the other day from someone I'd never met before.

He was saying how he had a said to this girlfriend that she hadn't been complimenting him for staying sober.

She said to him "well, you haven't bashed your head into a brick wall recently either. You want a medal."

rotfl...gave me one big, well needed humility check, right there.

Sorry I haven't been able to get here much lately, but good sobriety to old friends and friends that I haven't met yet...

Steve

toodles, come back whenever you have a chance, so good to see you name as Poster.

Hugs, Toni

yes this is really interesting, really highlights the stupidity of an alcoholic drinking, i'm going to try to remember this next time I feel like drinking

Thanks all -- family had been away for a month or so, and had jury duty as well for 2 weeks as part of that, so went nuts with evening meetings and when I could, daytime ones. Been getting back late, tired, but sober! :) Just felt a bit too wiped out for turning the computer on much!

Things are back to normal now. Did a 10K run today. Was harder than I thought it would be, lol, been over a year since I'd done anything like that. But sobriety meant that I could get up and do the run, and be OK with just having finished.

Good sober day to you all.

Steve
