Boy, life can be so uneventful when clean and sober. It is GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

No cyclic thinking 24 hours a day about how to get out of this or that jam, no worrying about and planning ways to get money to drink and use, no constant covering up of lies or avoiding phone calls and visits from those who care.

If I'm not mistaken, this feels like SERENITY to me, and I thank God for it, Just For Today.

So happy to hear that Jonijoni! I knew that I was getting someplace, with my sobriety, when I was a little bored one day and embraced the boredom knowing that it was the absence of chaos, terror, fear, impending doom... I was at peace in a total vacuum of activity.

Nice to hear from you Joni.  Glad to hear you have some Peace & Serenity.

Sounds like your letting Life play out on Gods Terms.  I to enjoy uneventful days.   I don't like any ripples on my pond.

Like Dean said;  the absence of chaos, fear, impending doom and controlling behavoirs is very peaceful to me today and I'm grateful for that.  smile

Great to hear you are having some peace Joni.

Your statement "life can be so uneventful when clean and sober" made me remember that the events in my life when drinking used to be really terrifying.

Thanks to God and AA I now have peace in my life instead of terror.

One of the BIGGEST things I no longer miss is all the drama and chaos that used to go along with my drinking. When people ask me how my life is going today I tell them my life is "perfectly average and boring." I know the feeling of serenity and can appreciate it as well. Thanks Joni.
