I want to go to my first meeting and I see that there are meetings specifically for young people. I'm 25. Is that right for me or are these generally more for teenagers? I would feel a little weird walking in and being the oldest one there.
In my area (Akron, Ohio) young peoples' meetings are for those who are "young at heart", meaning any age is welcome. Although, they usually consist of those in their 20's and 30's. That's just in my area. It can't hurt to just show up and see for yourself!
Good luck, Joni

Definitely at age 25, you will fit right in. I came into A.A. at age 24, and it really helped finding sober people around my age. Had lots of fun growing sober and older together (now we all approaching or are over 50). We've all slowed down since those early days, when we would go to lots of sober dances, picnics, bowling, shooting pool, etc. As PinkChip said, you'll look back years from now and realize what a true blessing it is to get sober at a young age; there is much good in life to look forward to when you're sober to remember and appreciate it.
