(((Loretta))

I had bronchitis was a little over a year ago. It came at the WORST possible time (in my mind) as I had just two weeks to pack up for my move back to my home state, I had "no time" to be sick with bronchitis. What ended up happening was something I could never have predicted, it gave me the time to take someones suggestion to write about my drinking history and discover I was actually an alcoholic, imagine that. I will never forget it. Gave new meaning to, "Nothing, absolutely nothing, happens in God's world by mistake."

I hope you feel better real soon. (((hugs)))

Loretta,
I see some acceptance and a little gratitude in your post.  Two very strong character traits we all try to employ.  Nicely done.

Well done Loretta. Keep it up.

When I was where you are, the man who is now my sponsor told me "keep getting to meetings. Don't take that first drink and keep getting to meetings, even if your ass falls off." (what I now know is a pretty famous AA turn of phrase).

I now realize that he said that b/c it works. Have you got a sponsor yet? I waited a long time for a sponsor, even though I didn't need to. I'd get a sponsor pronto if I was coming in again, even if it's a temporary one.

Keep coming back!

Steve

"But all that said I am sober today Thank the Lord for 1 more day"   For me that is
a recovery attitude.  Practicing that one keeps me sober also...(((hugs))) smile

Ah, coffee. The elixir of the gods.

Congratulations sister. Don't worry about the weather. If there's one thing we CANNOT change, it's the weather...
