I have to tell someone as it's a secret I carry. I can't carry the weight of the drink on my back anymore, it's killing me.

Welcome to the board Jerseyboy

i'm so glad you found your way here to us.

there are people here who truly care and want you happy, serene and most of all sober.

isn't that secret getting harder to keep??

i know how wieghing, trying and gut wrenching it is to carry those secrets.

you have tasted a good chunk of recovery, you can go back to 'recovering' anytime you choose, it is all in the choice.

put the drink down the 'waste pipe'

get back to living, you are so worth the fight.

keep coming back here, you are very important to us!

hugs, Wendy

Hey there,

We care about you...not how much time you had. That's just a number anyway. But for the grace of God... What we care about is that you are still alive...that you are reaching out. Call your AA group...they care too. Don't let the bottom get any deeper...call them.

Love, cheri

Get back buddy

I went out after 6 years and stayed out for 7.  Lucky to get back.  Very humbling to walk back in. These things happen, 2 people I know just came back, one had 20 years the other 18.  Cunning baffling and very very powerful. My dad was sober 33 years. He use to ask me which life I wanted---drunk or sober???  It's that way all or none, in AA or out!! Just start over, no one cares but u.  One day at a time!!  I know there are some people who gloat over there years.  The truth is i said at one time I'll NEVER DRINK AGAIN  THEN  OUT I WENT.  MAYBE TO COCKY,  WHO KNOWS, ONLY GOD!!  ENOUGH TALK-- AFTER 11 YEARS U KNOW WHAT TO DO, U JUST HAVE TO DO IT!!   IF U ARE STILL GOING TO MEETINGS CLAIMING TO BE SOBER--U GOTTA GET HONEST-- AT LEAST I HAD TO--COULDN'T STAND NOT TO. HAD TO DO IT FOR ME!!

GOOD LUCK    WE CARE   RICK
