Remember the chocolate bunnies we got at Easter? The ones that looked like a huge amount of chocolate but when we bit into them, we discovered they were hollow??

Sometimes, that's how I feel...like a hollow easter bunny. I look normal, but there is nothing inside.

So today I am filling up that empty space with all the good things I can,,,friends in recovery, helping out another alcoholic, close contact with a power greater than me. If I can keep filling up with those things, I won't think about the negatives.

Gotta go pray now....

Love, cheri

My glass was always half empty,  not half full!

Trying to change that!!

It's Only the way we look at things!!

Been under a lot of stress this week and feel peace most of the time.

Wonder whats wrong?????

Don't wonder just love it!!

Just thinking

Never really thought I was empty.. I guess I was spiritually empty,  no question there

Take care Cheri,  Did My morning prayer a while ago.  I'm sure I'll say a few more as the day goes on.  Amazing where we were and where we are trying to go, or the person were trying to be.

THE STORY OF MY LIFE.

GLAD I AM NO LONGER FEELING THAT I AM EMPTY INSIDE ANYMORE THOUGH. I HAVENT FELT THAT WAY FOR SOMETIME NOW.  BEING SOBER REPLACED IN ME ALL THE VOIDS THAT I CREATED BY MY BAD DESISSIONS THAT TORE OUT OF ME ALL THAT WAS GOOD.

I FOUND THAT I AM A MUCH STRONGER PERSON I GAVE MYSELF CREDIT FOR AND THAT IF I APPLIED MYSELF FOR THE GOOD INSTEAD OF THE BAD THAT LIFE WOULD BECOME AN EASIER PLACE TO LIVE.

THAT CHOC BUNNY WAS ALL THE THINGS THAT I WANTED IN LIFE BUT WAS NOT ABLE TO HAVE DUE TO MY ATITTUDES.  BEING POSITIVE AND DOING THE THINGS I HAVE TO DO FOR ME TODAY KEEPS IT SIMPLE AND MAKES THESES THINGS MORE ABTAINABLE AND LASTING.

GREAT ANALOGY...

HAVE A GOOD ONE....I LOVE YA.

Great post Cheri, You are so right the more we help others the better we get. I'm not sure that I ever felt hollow, I was so full of emotional garbage, it had me stuffed and miserable. It wasn't until I got rid of all that unneeded stuff that I felt free and could just find the real me.

I'm so glad you are here sharing your experience, strength and hope with us. You can really make me think.

(((Hugs)))
