Process of Brokenness!

Well 15 wonderful days away from work and in travel with my wife coming to a close for this summer. One more long weekend scheduled to visit my mom in Rockport Mass. soon and then get set for a few Fall Road running events,Deer Hunting Season(Bow) opening on 10/15 and then Battening down the hatches for Winter! Today's spiritual message was very timely and pertinent for me, as I think back to where I was,,,where I went,,, and where I am today....The subject matter,,The process of Brokenness! How the God of our understanding continues to allow us to be broken down in lifes situations in plans of making us stronger and more able to know that God will give you "more than you can bear" so you learn to rely on His grace and mercy..How the brokenness was rampant when I was active from 1959 until Dec 2nd 1984.   the lesson I would keep missing until I finally surrendered....How for almost 26 years I continue in recovery, still at times in the process of Brokenness only now I have learned where to put my faith ,hope and trust. How at this time in my life I am able to find peace and know that I am here and who I am today, because of where I was and how I happily remain teachable..!Believe me, I am still a hard head, who stumbles daily and every now and then the "other' guy comes out to wreak havoc..The difference is I can usually see 'him' coming, and have the tools(the spiritual principles of our program and the God of my understanding to send him away again...and if not my support group will "not cosign any of his  junk!!!!Anyway found this message today very uplifing and a nice thought pattern to bring back to the "action" tomorrow..When I am feeling Broken I will reflect on the thought that The God of my understanding is 'IN THE HOUSE' and the student needs to pay attention...      The disease has been arrested ,but the circus is still in town!!!!Have a blessed and productive evening!smile
