Things just keep getting better!!!

I got a new, better job.  I'll still be working as a D/A counselor, but at the private 90 day treatment center that I went through.  I never would have imagined on the day I walked in there that I would be giving back at the exact place it was given to me.  I'm so grateful that God is still at work in my life in such profound ways.  Things are also going GREAT with my sponsee.  We've been doing allot of step work, and to see the peace and serenity in him helps me remember why I love the way this fellowship works.  I now have a better understanding of why the sponsor/sponsee relationship is so very important.

God's still doing for me what I can't do for myself!

Brian

Nice share, thanks.  It can be amazing when things fall into place by living the right way and putting trust in our HP.  I'm happy for you.

It is so neat isn't it when we give what has been so freely given to us to another and they accept it.
Amazing what can happen when just one drunk shares with another , after all thats how it all began smile.gif

Thanks so much for sharing your joy with Us !

I forgot to add, the new job will help me get my NAADAC license. Probably take 3 years, but that's mostly patient care time. This is actually a huge benefit that will save me allot of time and money if I were to try and do it on my own.

AWESOME BRIAN!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy for you!! Isn't it amazing, how jittery we can get when we embark on something new and wodnerful... like when you landed the job you just had before this new one... we forget sometimes that God has a plan and we really have NO IDEA what is around the next corner!! None! And what AWESOME things happen to us when we just keep staying sober and doing the next right thing. I feel so privileged to be a member of AA, because I swear there are more cool things that happen to us as a group of people than anyone else in the world that I can think of. We are so blessed, and always in new and exciting ways. All we have to do really is to prepare ourselves through the steps to give back the love we get from our Higher Power, and he seems to be THRILLED with that and showers us with untold gifts and blessings. What an awesome HP we have!!!!

As you may or may not know, I am finishing my BS in Psych right now, and going on to get my master's before I even try to work in the field. Watching you and others here who are involved in mental health really intrigues me, and keeps me feeling positive and moving forward with what I am doing. I am so thrilled to have so many future "colleagues" in this field, right here in my big AA family.

(((((hugs))))) and enjoy the new blessing!!!

Aloha Brian...I've had that experience!!  If you keep all your recovery tools it will
be one heck of a ride for you and for those you come in contact with.  I wish you
all the best fortune and know that you're HP will pull the strings as you let it.
Trust God, keep your house clean and...  Help others.   smile

Hey Brian;

I like your new Avatar and I've kept a copy of it as a reminder when faced with an at first glance insurmountable problem.
My SOP is to break it down into smaller more manageable pieces and go through them bit by bit 'One Day At A Time'. This seems to work.

Marc
