Well I got some good news today. MY X husband, who was fired from his job because of his temper, finally got the Cobra insurance straightened out and qualified for the Obama plan where he pays a smaller amount for the insurance for himself and our kids. Our daughter had knee surgery this past March and met her deductible for the year(which was before he was fired). Then in July was breaking out in hives and swelling up and had to go to the ER twice. She was getting all the bills from the ER visits and the ambulance ride saying that her Dad's insurance was not paying for them. This is a huge relief. I feel like a ton of bricks has been lifted off of my shoulders. I would have had to pay these bills including my own medical stuff. I had know idea where I was going to get the money. Now I just have my medical bills, which is around 1,500. That is manageable.
Praise the Lord! It has seemed lately that everything that could go wrong was going wrong. I plan to have a great long weekend.
Insurance, and when we are not covered, very scary stuff, and so happy for you....
I lost my dental insurance, and now wonder how or what might happen if something goes wrong.....scary....but will deal with it then....there are no ER rooms for dental...
Oh well, not today am I going to worry....no point, but I can sure understand the relief you feel.

Happy to hear about the coverage your kids will get to keep. I am an advocate for everyone being able to receive affordable medical care in this great country, and if you ever want to PM me about it, I have plenty of opinions and experience caring for others who have been between a rock and a hard place in simply trying to get well.
Thank God we do not have to have insurance to attend AA. Could you imagine how horrible that would be?

Hi Toni,
She is still around. I do talk to her...principles before personalities. It just seems like every time I do talk to her it's all about her life, or the T.V. show we both watch Big Brother. I try to remember that she does have 19 years sober and that does mean something. I will just be careful around her. Thanks for asking Toni.
