Yeah. I'm sober, content and grateful.
I feel that I have gained enough stability in my sobriety that I can cautiously start to stretch my personal perimeter in the world around me. I have been cleared to reduce my rehab schedule. Work really needs me to kick some serious fiscal a$$ between now and the end of the year and I feel like I'm ready to take some chances again.

I've learned SO MUCH and felt SO MUCH in the last 14 months that I can't even begin to describe except to say that yeah...The Promises are real and I am amazed.

Easy does it, though. If I raise my sail too high, too fast I'm likely to snap the mast off and then I'm stuck.

Peace,
Rob

The futures so bright, you need to wear shades!

I hear yah!!! I like the way you described this like raising the mast too high!!! I feel the same way right now, like I have to TEMPER my excitement. but gosh darnit, if I don't pick up a drink, then I am free to celebrate these blessings, and I have a real cool HP to help me with the sail......

:)

Way to go Rob! yes ,we sometimes don't want to believe there is actually extended periods of joy and serenity,we were used to constant devastation. Each day, with continued work,we progress and continue to climb out of the hole created by our active use of the substance...Stay focused, humble and God centered and all can be well..In support!smile

Hi Rob,

YOu said it..." I'm sober, content and grateful."  I dont see any flying too high in that, you sound balanced and great...you have been working your ass off in many areas and the relief of it coming to a close .....just sounds like this would be the next place....

I have watched you struggle with some of life's powerful blows this year, and yes they did turn into good favor, but you took it like a man, a sober man, and were there for your family....

You are just doing great, and you are a great sober man that has a lot to give to a lot of people and you do that all the time.

Kudos, and love to you,
Tonicakes
