.... I will look at the bright side. Right?

First of all, I am up because a friend dragged me out to a brand new meeting since I was "up" and chatting... this meeting is a midnight meeting on a Thursday night!! woahhhh I feel old LOL

It was chock full of about 40 young people in AA, all in their early 20's, a scattering of early 30's, and about 4 oldies..... it was pretty darned good, and these kids' enthusiasm was worth my having gone at least once to see what all the fuss was about. As usual, the ones who are "on fire" for AA and doing service work and 12th Step work, are staying sober for months and years..... gotta love it.

Also, my days of still "looking" for a job w/more hours MIGHT... and I stress MIGHT  be coming to an end shortly (whew!!), so I may as well look at this as hopefully one of the last few nights I can be up this late and NOT let myself stress to the max over it.
We'll see what God's will is, right? Staying sober sure helps with a job search, goes without saying...

Next class starts later next week as well, so I will commence this weekend to try to start easing back into a reasonable bedtime, and such brilliant ideas as NO COFFEE after 6pm. That should help.

Just wanted to check in, and let y'all know that I'm not gonna beat myself up for dumb stuff like staying up late anymore (esp since it is not creating a negative consequence on, say, an employer, just for this 24 hours...) I have been beating the heck out of myself for everything under the sun since relapse... and oh, I got 30 days today.

:o)

Thanks for helping me!
Joni

Congrats on the 30 Joni!!!!! Hey stay up late and be a rebel! When I do stuff like that I get that little feeling of being naughty lol. A part of me has to be naughty a little. Just not so naughty as to drink. Thats just stupid! So glad your on here Joni, I really enjoy your post!! Have a great day :)

Joni, Nice job!  I love those meetings with young faces and the lights on.  They aggressively pursue recovery and it's great to see.  Stay with it girl......
