We have a new member that did not understand, I believe where to Post, so she inadvertently posted up in that Sticky column, where the Stories are saved.
So please dear Latenightlady, come on in, just Post where it says start a new Post, we are all waiting, and wanted so much to meet you....
Welcome to MIP....this is a website, (Miracles in Progress) where people come in struggling with their addiction, first time or second time, or many times, we can always start over, it only start with just One day at a time....
Hope so much we will have the opportunity of getting to know you and offer any help you may be looking for...
Felt that I felt your hand reaching out....this is my hand reaching back to you dear. Very ofter, when people are BRAND new to this site, they allow fear to hold them back, but then as you know Fear is the underbelly of the disease for All of us.
Sorry, did not mean to ramble on so much....PS. you can also Private message me, or anyone, that is just one to one, and it stays off the Board.
A Big Hug,
Toni

Thanks, Toni, for the heads up! I found the post waaaay up there.
Latenightlady--welcome to MIP. It is a difficult disease, as you already know. It lies to you, it embraces you, and betrays you. And the he** of it is, even as we know it's a lie, we still welcome it back.
You didn't say if you'd had any experience with AA? It helps so very much to have a supportive group close at hand while you're getting back on the path of sobriety. Even just a phone number so that you can talk to someone when you feel shaky.
I don't know how often I said "I'm done, tomorrow I'm gonna stop". Over and over and over again. Then I realized it isn't about tomorrow. It's about right now, this moment, this precious sacred moment of my life that I'm giving away to this illness. Become selfish with your life, with your time. We can't change yesterday, but we can change this one moment, minute, hour or day.
We are all here to share our own experiences, strength and hope with you. Hope we hear from you again, soon. hugs, Chris
