Getting very restless.

Hey all
I tell you being laid off and not having any driving privileges and also being out in the country by myself most of the day, drives me insane at times.
I do, 2 days a week get a ride to noon meetings and hafe an acre yard to take care of but running out of projects to do with the tight cash flow.
I have five readings I do everyday, but I sure made a mess of things Dam it!!!!
I do go to court Tuesday at 3 PM and looking forward to getting that over with. So if you don't hear from me for at least 60 days and maybe longer only God knows dont think I'm soaking bread in orange juice to make some hooch. The jail I'm going to has a meeting everyday and also helps one to write out their steps. Just pray for me. This solitude way of life isn't good, but I'm not going to forget where my drinking lands me everytime. No regrets, I just pray I am able to share this experence with someone someday. I am insane.
Thanks for letting me wine and not offering me any either LOL

My best friend is the one that is always with me even when I feel I'm alone. smile

good morning
so glad to hear from you.  Even in jail,  your HP will bless you there.  Things happen that drinking set it into motion, but the end result is not always what we expect.  It will be an 'adventure' ... keep your HP with you at all times and pray for those around you.  hopefully there will be email at the jail.  you might be able to say hi now and then and share what has been laid on your heart that day.
we are with you too, in our prayers.

Hey BB ,first of all I will keep you in prayer and hope you do not have to do time, but if you do then be it God's will.I do believe an addict alone is in bad company and suggest if you don't go inside see if you can find a volunteer job or something to keep you mind active.I know up here in Poughkeepsie.we have a lot of homeless centers and food pantries and kitchens always looking for help We have meals on wheels(if you can driVe I lost my license from back to back DWI'S early on)We have volunteers for senoir homes and hospitals and clinic's looking for runners and help.I found for myself being in a helping situation to others always helped me ...As I say I do not know your situation but just suggestions.Let us know whats going on,stay focused, keep God centered and His will be done...peace......smile

Sorry to say Buckeye, but best to learn how to deal with boredom now, than not know what to do in the clink (been there). Time to get in some good reading, I believe? Crossword puzzles?? I know it sounds goofy, but it can help a lot.

(((hugs)))

We all did.  At the same time, a lot of the credit goes to the disease of alcoholism.

Best not to dwell on the past and what could have been - or even the future, but on the present and what we can do right now to make amends (even if the only thing we can do is to not drink).

Remorse serves no useful function - as long as we are now doing our best to move forward, or at least not fall backward, that's really the best we can ask of ourselves at any given moment.  We have a tendency to expect more from ourselves than is humanly possible.
