Shiftwork, Phil and all...

Well, guess what I learned?  Hubby not only discomboomerated from shift work, as well as my PMS, but he was also consuming those energy drinks to stay awake all night.   Loaded with caffeine and sugar.  Well...it was as if he were drinking!   So....I did say no  BULL at least for today, he was peppy going to work today.  (BULL, the name of the beverage!)   I hope this work week goes better, but if he starts the BULL again, I'll just have to stay away from him.   No pun intended, true story.   And no hammers, Phil!

Well Sal--I cant give advise and I dont have any answers for yu.

As a long time freind, I understand what youve gone through over the past couple of years, and that a lotta days havent been easy for you.

I stand by you as a true freind.

The answers are in our programs on a daily basis.

Ive really had to vent my sheet a lot over the past couple of weeks, and others have had to hold me up some days.

But--it works if we work it-that much I do know, and we get better.--in turn our attitudes and emotions get on an even kneel.

There is nothing--absolutely nothing, I can do to change someone else.

I just know, that the more meetings I go to--the more I keep the sheet out--and the more I accept, and just try to do the best I can one day at a time--the better it gets.  The 12 steps are another biggy.  Im thinking of you Sal.

And --oh yaa--prayer does work. --and you are not alone.:)

Oh Wal...that stuff can really get you goin. I used to have a can before going to gym when I was back in the city. This didn't pose too many probs as I only went to the gym 3 times a week.

HOWEVER...my lil bro was just getting into weights and went through a gym junkie stage (as a lot do before a routine is established, I think)...Aaanyway...he was going twice a day and drinking the stuff like water. I kept saying "ease up on that will ya!" and he kept assuring me he was fine, because he was "converting" it...the energy, he meant. He was flying about like a right looper, and was pretty helpful around the house for a while...got a lot of jobs done After a couple of weeks, he started getting heart palpitations, shakes, sweats and started falling apart. So much so, that he couldn't even go to the gym! He ended up feeling weak, fluey, had diarea...diarreah...(oh you know, the cheek clenchers), and just wasn't good once he finally couldn't get to the shop to buy it...very much like a detox. He stopped buying them.

I'm pretty sure it has warnings on the can now doesn't it...one every six hours or something?
