"Being all powerful. He provided what we needed, if we kept close to Him and performed His work well." When this realization dawned on me, I begin to see how powerful the AA program really was. In 1992 I sat at my office desk one morning, with just over 4 years of sobriety and truly began to ponder over this statement in the book. I wanted to be employed by a loving God and not a ruthless, inconsiderate boss. I asked God to employ me. March 1993, I was asked to leave my job. I knew God had answered me. I had no financial resources, but I had faith in Him, blind faith. I started my little company. It's been 17 years since. God provided for me. I kept close to Him. I performed His work to the best of my ability. Just as I done with my previous company. Again there was my part and there was God's part. My part was to keep close and work with Him. He was now my Director. I took instructions from my company director without any fuss. Why can't I do the same with God. I took the AA book seriously. Not only was God my Director, but he was my Father and I his son. So I began to work in the family business. All so called corporations out there belonged to my Heavenly Father. So we owned everything. The book says He is all powerful. We are not chattel slaves. I took time out to meditate on these truths. As a result of which I am not confronted by any surprises when things go wrong in the world. One of the first things to go was fear of economic insecurity and people.
