Oh my gosh! I've been gone a couple of days and look what I find here! Thank you so much, everybody! It's people like all of you who have helped me to stay sober on a daily basis all this 25 years and I'm grateful for every single one of you, from those still suffering and struggling to the newcomers, to the really old-timers and everyone in between. I couldn't have done it without everyone in every stage of this. I love you all.

And thank you for all the nice things everyone has said. It means a lot to me.

Coming back to remind everyone, including myself, that we've all only got one day---today---to work with.  If I don't live the program to the best of my ability this 24 hours, I might not have another 24 hours.  To me, each day has been like a link in a chain and I've felt like I need to forge a strong link every day so none of them is going to break and let me fall back into the drunken hell I was living before.  Just because May 5th marked 25 years doesn't mean I've got it in the bag.  I still have to keep the links in the chain strong every day.  Old-timers have always told me that we can't rest on our laurels.   Just because we get some years away from our last drink doesn't mean we might not be just that many years closer to our next one if we quit working our progam.smile
