SET ASIDE PRAYER

Dear God, let me set aside everything I think I know about You,
and me and this program, and these Steps, for an Open Mind,
and a new experience with You, and me and this
program, and these Steps.

I sure thank You . (- Tom G.)

lol -- that is definitely putting a positive spin on it, Dean. We haven't gone back yet over here (starts on 28th March), but I'll bear that in mind for when the day comes!

OMG that is soooo great! Does that mean that the end of daylight savings is the hardest day of the year to stay sober? Yes, my mind is black and mean, hahaha! And I'm with Tessa, sleeping is a wonderful way to stay sober.

Yes it does, and I can remember several times, being in bars, in October, on that saturday night (sunday morning), arguing with the bar to set their clocks from 2am to 1am to stay open an extra hour.  I never won that argument and remember the bartenders/bouncers getting quite pissed at me for suggesting that their should work longer/later.  Those sorry bastards just didn't get it.  teevee.gif

Dean,

You should have been up in Buffalo, NY the bars close at 4 AM.  You would have automatically got the extra hour. LOL

Damned DC bars closed at 2am and VA at 12 or 1am I can't remember. Thank God I got sober before moving to here. The regular bars in Tampa close at 3pm right when the bottle clubs open. You walk into a bottle club and band starts playing at 3:30 and the bar stays open whenever the majority of the patrons leave. I visited my friend here in 1981 and about died. I was trained conditioned to last that long. teevee.gif
