Glad to be Back On-Line Again

It's great to be able to chat with my AA friends again!!  My wife and I decided that it was time in our lives to leave the snow and Winter weather for the sunny South.  After much time and consideration we made a permanent move from the Buffalo, NY area to Brooksville, FL just North of Tampa in November. Our home is way out in the country and no DSL or Cable is available for internet acess.  We had to get a sattelite hook up from Hughes.   This happend this March about a week ago and it is great to have the internet again.   I have found some great AA meetings down here, they are a little different from Buffalo but people are coming in , getting sober and staying sober so obviously the program is works here.   smile

Hey Larry, welcome back! And Welcome to FL. I ride dirt bikes in Brookesville at the Croom park near the interstate and rt. 98. Super fun, I highly recommend it, even if you get a 4 wheeler. Let me know if you get down to St. Pete.

Welcome back! Now instead of lake-effect blizzards you can have the daily summer deluges. I used to love those...and sheet-lightning. We don't get sheet-lightning in Iowa. Enjoy the woods but remember...50% of what's in the Florida woods wants to eat you, and the other 50% just wanna hurt you. wink.gif

Sure wish I was in Fl right now! I'm not sure where Brooksville is? I've been in several parts of FL. My Dad used to like in Hobe Sound about 45 minutes this side of west palm beach. Used to go down quite often. Love Fl!!

Tessa, Brookesville is north of Tampa, south of Ocala about directly west of Orlando and about 45 miles east of the Gulf of Mexico.

Now I know about where it's located. I'm familiar with Tampa, Ocala, & Orlando. Been to all 3 places. Spent a weeks vacation in Orlando back in 2001. Sure wish I was there now!! thx
