Doin' fine, Shane. Our government is just playing the usual shell-game, Most people still actually think there's a pea under one of those walnut shells. I don't even think the shells are real.
You're not too far wrong there Pete. It was on the news today that alcohol sales dropped 15% since January. First time ever in Ireland! And there's pubs closing down daily. And, like I said before I've never seen AA so busy. I live in a small town (pop 25,000) and we have three meetings a day, sometimes four. All getting big attendances. Now is that a good or a bad thing?
Russia's trying to decrease their alcoholism rate by raising the price on the cheap rotgut vodka that poor people drink. Hope they have enuf AA to go around!
I wonder how they get the stats for that lower sales of alcohol? If they take in the amounts sold to pubs/pubs, there's no wonder sales are down, since, as you said, many pubs have closed down, and continue to close down daily.
I reckon alcohol saled must have fallen in July 1990 - that's when I stopped drinking My local offy lost some good money then I reckon.
