Idle time to an alcoholic mind is dangerous!!! Since I was laid off last Friday the water pump went out on my car. A friend is out there in the cold fixing it now. I just can't stand sitting here day after day with nothing to do! I borrowed my sons car Monday to put some applications in & have been online putting them in. Don't know what else to do. I'm going bat sh#t sitting here!!! I'm hyper & have to be doing something to stay busy or my mind wonders!! Any ideas?

exercise, take naps, do some writing, go to meetings, work the steps, hand out with sober friends.

great idea, make some buns for teh meeting and make a coffee for the mechanic, then wash the kitchen floor, tidy out a drawer, play some guitar, read something, lot's to do if you look.

Just realised that Buns means something else over there, of course I meant mufins (I think) or cookies or brownies. Anyway scuse the typing, it's eye drops time again and I find my vision is really blurry for about 10 minutes after teh drops and about 10 minutes before they're next due.

Hope this clears bythe morning as I want to go visit my Mum tommoz.

Hi

Find some large Novel Books and enjoy.

Get some of the other AA Books and read them cover to cover, plus write a mini essay in a journal.

Go to as many meetings as you can--different ones then what you are going to now.

Depending on the weather--take a long walk on a nature trail, Bike ride.

Find some other sober friends and go out shopping to a Mall, have them over for coffee and snack time, imprompto chance for a small meeting.biggrin
