BB,
Sounds like a busy week.  Good to see you have your meeting list with you.  Phone numbers to I'm sure.  Remember to leave some time for god each day.

What's that one that goes something like......."We make plans and God/HP just laughs!" confuse

I always remember that with a smile whenever my 'plans' change! smile

Glad it all went OK with your Mum !

I simply needed to read your heading - I was far into the future right before I got to this site. So thanks for the reminder!

Thanks for the reminder Bill for me to stay in the day Im in.
My sponsor pounded that into me since day 1. Im now just a little over 5 yrs sober and Im beginning to live in the day. Its tuff and sometimes I do look to far ahead. But its so much easier to breathe when I know all I have to do is get thru one day at a time.

You know what?? I wish you guys could know Bill personally, he is one of those people I admire greatly, as I saw him come into the rooms, watched him struggle like hell with a concept of a higher power, and buggar me, he never goes ANYWHERE without a meetings list and phone numbers.  This guy sure knows how to walk the walk, and he followed suggestions to the letter, which of course led him to work the programmes, do service and help others.

He went to Germany for the weekend last year, armed with meetings list and phone numbers, and stopped off in Brussels, Belgium to spend the night with his sponsor and go to a meeting there.

This is a guy who DOES go to any lengths, and believe me, it shows. He also 'babysits' me when my partners not home, like ringing me to make sure I'm OK and if there's anything I need doing which I can't manage to do. I love him to bits (I'd never tell him that, I'd hate to put him on an ego trip)  biggrinbiggrin

As you now already know, he is back on Feb 11th, BUT there's more chance of you getting him on the karaoke as catching swamp fever in the desert!!  I'm hoping they have Flower Of Scotland, which just MIGHT get me up.

Good to chat to yer mate.
