Hello everyone, I am Michael and am curious about something. I am involive in doing 12 step workshops in Akron Ohio. We do them in a 2 hour session on night a week and take the steps as a group. It involves a lot of writing and each wrokshop runs about 20 weeks or longer depending on everybody fourth step(it seems anyways) These workshops got started out in Denver quite a few years ago. We also do a weekend twice a year called the fellowship of the spirit in the Cuyahoga National Forest ita a 2 1/2 day trip thru the steps with a guest speaker. I am curious if there is anyone out there doing something similar and would you share any experiences with it.
We have workshops of this nature running frequently throughout the U.K. I attended one in the first few months of my sobriety. It was a good experience of coming to familiarity with the BB, the Steps & the overall process of A~B in achieving a spiritual awakening. It has still been a slow & ongoing process for me working with a sponsor & finding new depths of understanding & willingness. I would recommend anyone with an interest to enjoy one or several of these weekends. I attend retreats every six months. They're a great refresher. Thank you, Michael. Keep coming back, Danielle x

I have heard of AA workshops. But not like the ones you are describing. But hey ... they sound like a great way to get a new person introduced to and working the steps.
Hi Michael and welcome to the board. Thanks for sharing. Lots of ways to do the steps and we won't truly integrate and consolidate ourselves until we do.
