Still stuck with weather conditions
Permalink

Guys, almost lost it this afternoon, as I am still housebound due to weather conditions, getting paranoid, not working the steps, but rang my sponsor and another member and feel like I am getting back on track, need prayers, and am looking forward to a convention the weekend after next, but keeping it in the day, tackling the filing cabinet this evening, whoopee do.  three years of absolute mess, started it as a project, quite look forward to it now, am trying not to react over a situation from the past where I was taken advantage of due to drink, my fault I know, but its coming back to haunt me and is causing me immense pain.

You are certainly not alone with this one friend. I went out to go to the meeting last night and couldn't get the car boot or doors open, and it was too cold to have to mess around de-icing etc. SO, a night in front of the telly AGAIN!!!

I was told in early days to make 2 lists of things to do, one for what to do if the weather is GOOD, and another for when the weather is crap, that way it's less of a disppointment when it rains on your plans.

Lorna,
Hand in there!  The weather will pass.  Brightier days ahead.  The file cabinet will still be there tomorrow.  Remember; how important is it?  We can all get wrap up in our own head with little things that appear huge to us at the moment.

"trying not to react over a situation from the past where I was taken advantage of due to drink"
Talk with your sponsor regarding the above issue.  By talking about these things it takes some of the power away from it.  Sorta cuts it in 1/2.  Chances are your sponsor has some experience in the area that concerns you and can get your head back on track.

Lorna,
Weather changes, and so did you. Happy new Year's Eve!

What a great time to have a weekend convention coming up, right after Christmas and New Year.
