I've been reading of a man who's wife is so very hard to please when it comes to gifts. This guy is at his wit's end. I suggested that he maybe could find some improving reading on a life of gratitude for her (and then watch the sparks fly!). Sometimes I can be a smart arse.

Anyway i found this on t'internet. i like it:

Be Thankful
Be thankful that you dont already have everything you desire,
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?

Be thankful when you dont know something
For it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you grow.

Be thankful for your limitations
Because they give you opportunities for improvement.

Be thankful for each new challenge
Because it will build your strength and character.

Be thankful for your mistakes
They will teach you valuable lessons.

Be thankful when youre tired and weary
Because it means youve made a difference.

It is easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are
also thankful for the setbacks.

GRATITUDE can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles
and they can become your blessings.

HI You BILL!

Happy to see you this morning feeling those "Oats" haha.

We are so blessed indeed, that the AA Program, does Program us in a very loving way to stick to that GRATITUDE, no matter what.

Andi if being Programed sounds sort of Moonieish, you know what I dont care, i am sober today, and if I belong to a cult, (being sarcastic myself) then let the CULT Live, 24 hours a day.

Looks like it was sort of contagious, I am blaming my new sarcasism on the above on you, hahahaha, biggrin

Just wanted to say I am happy you are out of the sadness you were feeling and into some version of Gratitude.

A big hug to you and wishing you a very Merry Christmas, from over here across the Pond.

Toodles, Tonicakes
