Hello and Happy Holiday's My name is Bud I'm an alcoholic in recovery. My sober date is 12/21/74 Someone ask me how I did it, I replied "Following instructions in the Big Book" and God's grace. It has been a wonderful way of life even with the bumps in the road. I sobered up in New Orleans the 1st time in 1970 went back out in 74 and got right back in with a different look at the steps. Became very active in service work and enjoyed every minute of it. I am retired now and spend a lot of time on my computer in some chat rooms and find it very rewarding. Due to some psycial problems I cant get out much but have been blessed meeting new fellow AA people on line I hope to be able to meet a lot of you here. Have a great holiday season-- stay clean-- stay sober be Blessed
Hello Bud and welcome. My mothers sobriety date is 12/21/75 and my first meeting wasn't too long after that even though I was only 15. We can sure use another 30 something around here. Stick around and help us to stay sober.
Hello Bud....I'm newly sober (7 weeks) and this is my first post. I'll post my story in the next few days....short version my love wine was taking over my life almost every night and I thought I'd stop before anything bad happened. Been attending AA regularly, reading about the disease and now am online. I am excited to have contact with someone with 35 years of sobriety.... very inspirational. SB
Pleasure to meet you Bud! I'm in my first year and thanks to AA & God it's been the best time of my life. Not easy, but the best. Thanks for helping keep me sober another day!
