This is the toughest time of the year to stay sober, due to holidays, family, bad memories etc... It's especially important to double up on your meetings so that you can stay sober through the holiday season. AA clubs add extra meetings, many have 10pm and midnight meetings through new years and around the clock meetings Christmas, and New Years as well as dinners, meals. In my first year I stayed very close to my "family of choice" and made it through with ease. You can too!
Nod. Went to Alcothon last year at the club house for xmas and do plan on going to a lot of meetings this year too. If I have nothing to do on Xmas...there are people far worse off than me that could just benefit from having another person at the alcothon meetings. I might volunteer this year.

Excellent idea. Here in the US, the holidays are all about excess. It stands to reason we would need more meetings as well. I'm compiling a list of recovery-related holifday tunes. Help me out.
