Hello, everybody! I'm jasperkent and I'm an alcoholic, among other things. I'm recently back from an extended relapse which included two lost jobs, three car wrecks, and severe multi-substance withdrawal/DT's in jail. I'm still unemployed, in debt, facing home foreclosure, and I have a swollen liver, but by the grace of God I'm alive and sober. I pray that my "field research" is over. I attend AA meetings daily, pray, meditate, and talk to my sponsor. I also visit online sites like this one, because I need all the help I can get. You are good folks. Thank you for being here. Welcome Jasperkent! This site has been a great tool for me since I came here almost a year ago. It is good to see you are making this effort to stay sober. It might not seem like it while you are cleaning up wreckage from the recent past, but truly things can only get better if you work this program. Sounds like you already know that though and that is a gift.
