I've been busy, busy, busy..... Just wanted to give you all a quick update.

My dad is doing very well. Radiation treatments seem to have worked. He's in remission for now.

My John and I got married (yes, I said married) on the day we met anniversary, August 2nd. I have never been happier. He's a wonderful husband. I rented my house out instead of selling it, extra income. Moved into his home, we decided to remodel and add on instead of buying something new (his is paid for just like mine we saw no reason to go into debt).  I am still working  for now, will hand in my resignitation in Decemeber. I have six sponsees as of now and stay busy busy with them and helping with our building fund .
I celebrated two years on September 22nd.  Woo Hoo! Sobriety is awesome. I wouldn't have all I do today if I were still drinking.

I hope all is well with everyone here. I see a lot of new names, so welcome to MIP. It's a wonderful place.

Love you all.

Jen

How wonderful to see you, and all that fantastic news, so very happy about your Dad, and so AWESOME, the two of you tied the knot.  Just like tennis shoes, double knot them and they stay on Forever..............:)

So so so happy for sharing all that wonderful news, and 6 sponsees, no wonder we have not seen to much of you.

Hope your Church Club is coming along and you will be back there.

HI Jen, Im Lori alcoholic from Michigan.  Not new to AA but new to MIP here and everyone is great here, I really like it.

I too was married in sobriety.   What a huge step and weird at the same time, lol.  ( guess I always figured Id be celebrating with some sort of booze when I tied the knot ).
Great news about your Dad too ... You and he are most likely very grateful for your sobriety to help him thru his illness.

Wow, 6 sponsee's !!  bless you for carrying the message, and helping another alcoholic to acheive sobriety.

Good to hear from you Jen.  You were missed.  Awesome news about where you are at right now.  Sounds like promises coming true possibly?  A reminder for me to stay sober, work the program and see what good things happen.  Congrats on the anniversary and the marriage.

Mark

Hi Jen, I don't know you, but your reputation has stayed with the folx on this forum, and it is good to see you back here, hope to get to know you better. I am given to understand that you passed a good strong message when you were here before, and your post has shown that, so we are alike in some ways, not least being the fact that I am a recovering Alcoholic just like you, and known for my straight talking, which is the only way I know HOW to pass the AA message, since that is how it was passed to me.

Congrats on the marriage, though having done that 3 times already, I am not in awe of it, but I also met my life partner in AA, 10 years ago, and as much as I love him, I doubt very much that marriage is on the horizon in the next 80 years!!! giggle.gif
