Got my purple chip today! Employer bought me a bouquet of three yellow roses; one for each month. Thanks, ya'll! Now I'm gonna take myself out to lunch.
Congrats Rob! It took me two years + 3 months, of going to meetings, to get 90 days. And man was I ever happy to get my chip. So enjoy yourself and celebrate amongst your sober buddies.
Rock on Rob! Congrats! I literally can recall feeling so good when I got that 90 day chip. In the 3 to 6 month period is when I started to do service. It helped me work through anxiety and also made the next months go by easier...Kind of like "I can't relapse if I have to chair this meeting for a whole month..." Of course there are other reasons to do service but that's how it worked for me then. It may be different where you live. With the high amount of beginner's meetings and like 40meetings a week at the clubhouse I go to...there is a load of opportunity to do service and typically they want newcomers to pick up the commitments for newcomers meetings. Anyhow, Keep up the good work!

Yay Rob!!! Sorry I missed this, I was offline here at home for DAYS... and it sucked!! But I am so thrilled that you got your 90 day chip!! That is a HUGE milestone, you know. It is hard to do ANYTHING different for 90 days straight (Just ask me, when trying to go on a diet, quit smoking, keeping the house clean..... and yet staying sober is 1,000 times more challenging than any of these!!!!)
My, how the days, weeks, months stack up when we work it one day at a time. You go, Rob!!!
