I drink a lot of beer and about once every 3-4 weeks, there is a day when I feel completely exhausted and spent...I get chills all day, have no appetite and will basically spend all day in bed other than to use the bathroom or get a drink of water.
I don't understand how it could be unless you get off of drinking a lot of beer completely. It could be something else or anything else. The suggestion would be to see your med/doc and get an assessment. Make sure to tell him you drink alot of beer. You could also do your own internet research like checking with the AMA and NIAAA or CDC on alcoholism.
Good luck to you and if you decide that maybe getting off of booze completely is something that would interest the hell out of you (almost literally) then come back for some recovery suggestions and experiences here at MIP. I'd be interested in knowing how it comes out for you.
sounds like withdrawal to me, but chances are your liver is having a tough time processing all of that. Something like 10% of us walk around with liver disease and don't know that we have it. Most people have to catch liver disease from someone else, but alcoholics seem to just get it from excessive drinking, according to the experts at NIH. So yeah I would go to the doctor and get a complete exam with blood work to check liver functions and all.
