I'm sorry not to have been around much these last few weeks, but life has been crazily busy and I have been dealing with a fair bit of stuff!
My boyfriend is staying with me at the moment and we will celebrate eighteen years together next Wednesday. I am still studying full time at university right now and that is going really well, but working as well is keeping me really busy. I have recently had a health issue with my heart and the medication that I have been taking and that set me back for a week or so, but all seems to be working just fine again!
I am still sober and loving every single minute of it. I constantly amaze myself at my continued sobriety and the joy of our wonderful Fellowship of AA. We are all so lucky to have such a wonderful program of recovery and all of the help and advice that is so freely available. This alcoholic will be eternally grateful to everyone in AA for the wonderful quality of life that I now have.
If anyone is new to AA and MIP just hang in there and it really will get better. Reach out and take the helping hands that are offered to you. If this alcoholic can get sober and enjoy a new life, then anyone can.
Anyway, guys, I'll be more active on MIP again in about ten days or so when this crazily hectic phase of my life comes to an end and that's going to feel great.
Meanwhile, I miss you all and hope everyone is happy and sober.
And, a giant welcome to our new members here on MIP!
Take care,
Carol
