I just hafta keep an open mind with everything and not get wrapped up in others beleifs. and I do that with respect.

We take what we want to, for us, and leave the rest. We do what we can for newcommers and show them, that there is a better way.

I know there is a Higher Power, and mine is spiritual. If others Higher Powers are religeous, thats ok too.

I dont think anyone preaches on here--we all just share where we are at.:)

I know its difficult for the newcommer. I didnt have any form of a Higher Power for a long time.

It was nothing more than Good Orderly Direction. The first meeting I went to, I heard the word God, and walked right out of it. hehehe

God-As We Understand Him. Pretty simple.

I guess I kinda go both ways on this one, without taking sides.

There is a God. And the sooner newcommers grab that, the better. If they are like I was, and had to go right to the bottom to surrender to that fact--so be it.

But then again, I do agree that we hafta try to keep religion out of it, as much as possible and stick with the spiritual side of it all, as is meant to be.

Wear the world like a loose cloak--love everyone for where they are at, regardless, and we cant go wrong.

I love everyone on this board regardless. We are all from a different mould, but we are all riding in the same boat.:)

Lets hold hands and truck on, without judging or criticizing.

And Stan? We laugh with you, and not at you.  Gammy? We love you.  And Nic Gal? Onward we go!!

Vroom!!

i too want to apologize if i offended anyone. Stan my reply to not a positive reply may well have  been my state of mind at the time, i'm am so just new to learning about life on lifes terms and judgement when i am on the receiving end? Ihate it, but am i one to judge?  I've definitely had my moments...i'm honestly trying not to and its only the program that is teaching me that.

Please don't go Nic i really enjoy reading what you have to say....personally i have choosen to call my higher power God, but i have AA as my higher power to not to mention others strength , hope and experience.

I find it sad to think of people turning their backs on AA because of the "God" thing....and really should keep remembering that....

Trying not to weep for the memories of yesterday and smile for a second chance at today.....progress not perfection and practice makes correction....

I want to thank you's for being here...i'm glad i found this site    \\//peace and luv, your friend in recovery
