Saturday night...

Just checking in, I just got home from an Alcoholics for Christ meeting, it was really good. It has been great learning the 12 Steps though scripture, how God fits in to the scheme of my recovery, how I can use my faith in it too.

One of the scriptures tonight was  Isaiah 1:5&6- Why should you be beaten anymore? Why do you persist in rebellion? Your whole head is injured, your whole heart afflicted. From the soul of your foot to the top of your head there is no soundness - only wounds and welts and open sores, not cleansed or bandaged or soothed with oil.

The question that went with the scripture was -" Can you identify with this Scripture?" There were people there with a few days of sobriety to years and the responses were so intense and honest.

This was a Step 1 study. I go to 2 AA meetings  and 2 ALcoholics for Christ meetings a week , I have so much to be grateful for today. Thanks to all of you who are here to share your experience , strength , and hope with me. I love the posts, the laughs, the honesty, the safety of this board. Thanks for letting me share.

Have a sober Saturday night, keep it simple and let go and let God.

(((Hugs)))
