I just wanted to post a positive thread, maybe try and balance out my thread history :) I haven't had a drink in 28 days, and I feel great. Well, great might be a little much, but I feel soo much better today than I have in a loooong time. Everything fell into place this morning. I got a new guitar student, I called my grandfather whom I haven't seen since Christmas and I'm planning a big trip with my father in 6 weeks and I'm excited about another sober day. Last night and again today, I have just felt this overwhelming sense of gratefulness, almost to the point of tears ('50% crazy). This may be a pink cloud thread, but ah well, I'll take it
Well Done, Dods! Tis important to acknowledge & be grateful when we're feeling good. I feel like I've been learning better how to stay happy in my sobriety & learning what gets in the way of it. Usually my willful & controlling ways which I've been surrendering & learning with boundaries. It's so much fun learning who I am & the best of how I can be with others. That's a happy life for me. To be glad to look after me & serve others too. A happy medium :) Keep up the goodwork. Like for me it will keep on getting better for you too! Danielle x

Hey Dods, Hang on the that feeling. My sponsor had me write about the early good days, more so than the bad ones. She would send me to my writings when I wasn't having such a good day. Believe it or not, they really helped me to read them.
There's this one crazy guy I see in meetings who is like 13 years sober, and I always love what he says. In regards to the pink cloud, I once heard him say:

Awesome achievement!!! Congrats! As the fog clears we start to see things better. It is summed up perfectly with Lani's signature above this post! Definately words to live by.
