Meeting Everyday For Me!

I used to imbibe everyday and now I go to a meeting most everyday - and sometimes I go to a meeting more than once a day if I feel like it...of course now that I am retired this is possible...and I thank God for this ability.   As a friend used to say:  yes John, there is a direct correlation between the number of meetings I attend and my emotional state of mind or sobriety, and I have to agree... Of course I need to do more than just attend meetings especially after the initial newcomer status..jn

Hey johnn101259!!  Congradulation on 30years!!!!

When I first came to A.A., I heard if I drank everyday, I needed a meeting everyday and I've done this.  I hope to be 4 in Feb.

If I don't go to a meeting, I'm involved in some other A.A. activity and then sometimes hit a meeting too.  Some have said I do too much AA, but I don't believe that's true, right now.  I believe it's what's helped to keep me sober.  I'm also starting to find that balance in the other areas of my life.  And I believe by putting my soberity and A.A. first is the reason I'm able to do everything else I'm doing today.  I'm very grateful for what I've found and am learning.  (Grace of God)

Hi John,

I'm thinking that for all those years and meetings, with the great spiritual condition you have....imagine how many people you have helped! God love ya and hope to see more of you in here!
