Today we have a choice! Don't take this gift lightly. You can chose to do right, you can choose to do wrong; with enough wrong choosing, your choices will be gone.

My Higher Power gives the best to me when I give my choice to Him.

Thought for the Day
Staying Peaceful

Desires cause peace to disappear.

You think that acquiring things will make you feel secure, but the reality is that the more you have the more fear there usually is of losing it, and the further you are from peace.

Desires are the cause of all conflicts.

When you want something and cannot get it you become frustrated.

Learning to be free from desires is learning how to stay peaceful.

Thanks Jane
A good reminder for me today as I can get my wants and needs mixed up!!!
It can be as simple as wanting new bathroom rugs and being whiny because I really dont need them today and they dont fit into the budget this week! Sounds silly but it can lead to frustration like you shared!!
So, today, making a big old gratitude list to remember what awesome treasures I have today...with or without those dang extra rugs!!!

Yeah, that's a good one Jane, I get a bit resentful and pathetic about love, even though I can logically see that if I am needy, and demanding, and pathetic, that I am unable to participate in a healthy loving relationship.

It is good to be free of the desire to fill myself with external things in some sort of sad and never ending search for 'happiness', because I know that when I am able to not need that outside stuff, that I truly do find some peace.
