Well, here I am. Feeling so much better about life.
Finished my first pass through the steps and sponsoring others and have a chair commitment at one of my meetings.
I don't know if I updated after the Thanksgiving holiday but it went very well. My family asked a couple of times if I wanted to drink - I calmly just said no. Interesting thing is - none of them drank either. It was pretty cool.
Went to another family's house and the host was in the program. Just what you need when you need it.
Now I am looking forward to Christmas. All my friends, family, and colleagues know I am in the program and are fully on board. It is pretty cool.
Just finished dance class and starting martial arts in January.
And to boot I am making some really cool, HEALTHY friends. It is so nice to have complete, honest, heartfelt conversations.
Gotta love it! Off to get my chip tomorrow night.
Thanks to you all and most of all to my HP.

SOOOO happy for you, tlc!!! It is amazing how in our minds we can imagine that things are going to be a lot harder than they actually turn out to be. We really do have someone greater than ourselves running the show when we allow HP to do just that, and it is awesome being able to "re-do" the holidays now, sober, and enjoying all that our recovery gives us!! Merry Christmas!!

Yea tlc!!! Isnt is an awesome feeling to be sober!? The best part is the "being honest" with yourself and your friends and family. I think that makes the ride a bit sweeter!!! Way to go!
