Hi,

Just thought I'd drop in and let you know I'm doing ok.  Been back to work part-time and give some of my time to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Kids are doing well, and getting ready for Christmas.  And managing to take things one day at a time, as a family we've had to deal with a couple situations in the last 4 months.  We're getting through it as a family given the circumstances, with alot of support from friends in and out of the program and I'm thankful for that.

I've started back into doing service work within the program, such as changing home groups and opening for my home group now.  Feel that I'm getting back in touch with myself.  I've feel I've let myself go and well had to fight some personal issues that was pushed aside..

I want to apologize for not checkin in on a regular basis, do to an issue I have with certain individuals. I've moved on and find myself accepting where things are right now.   I've came on the board, just to see how everyone was doing.

I won't go into details, but I hope no one takes it personally, I've allowed this to also get in the way of my program and that I shouldn't let certains stand in the way of recovery.  I hope all is well and that everyone is doing well.  Anyways, my daughter and I are going to my son's tonight, to spend time with him.  My Belly Button Birthday is Friday and my son wanted to spend some time with Mom.

I wish to express gratitude and Best Wishes for a Sober and Wonderful Holidays in the next few weeks.  THANK YOU all for being here for me and listening as well as giving advice.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL!!!!!!!

Hugs

Tina

Hi Tina

thanks for sharing, tolerance of others has certainly been part of my recovery journey.

just a few months ago i was dealing with certain people in the AA meeting here on island, we only have one meeting so i couldn't run away and just go to some other meeting.   So for me i had to face the tolerance issue and it's been a good thing.   i love f2f meetings and really had to let principles come before personalities, spiritual progress, was good to grow.

wishing you and your family a merry christmas and wonderful new year!

Hugs, Deb

Hi Tina
Im glad you stopped in to say hi and let us know just where you are. I always wondered why you didnt share more or offer ESH to others having been around for a while. Now I can understand more.
Let me share something with you...
I had a old co worker who I had huge resentments against. Felt like she was the reason I lost my job. Said Id never make amends to her (which I still cant or wont!!). My sponsor suggested I pray for that person. I did so and continue to do so. Ran into an old co-worker who told me this person got moved to a different office because of her nasty attitude, negativity and people were just plain sick of her. She has since gotten to come back to the old office and my friend shared that she is a changed person. More tolerant and kind to others and even speaks with kindness about her family. Just proves to me that pray does work and people can change if we pray hard enough for them.

You and I have alot in common as far as children go and I would love to see more of you sharing with us rather than just a little blurb letting us know how you are doing. I see you posted about helping others more! Great job!!! Hope youre not offended with what I shared but its just a giant invite to see you post more often!!!

Have a great holiday!!!

"I want to apologize for not checkin in on a regular basis, do to an issue I have with certain individuals."

I understand, and have come and gone from this forum myself. But I am so glad to see you here, and so grateful that you have a model life in sobriety to share with me, as I am finding my way back to being more active f2f, slowly but surely. I commend you for all the volunteer responsibilities you have taken on, and people like YOU is what makes our society move forward....

Now, I have to ask you... WHAT is a belly button birthday??

Joni
