Today I choose to enjoy my life. Regardless of the problem and difficulties that this day will bring, I have an inner joy that comes with my recovery from addiction. With a clear head and body free from drugs and chemicals I can face today and look forward to tomorrow. My life is to be enjoyed not endured. My worst days today are better than my best days as an addict. Spiritually I am free because I have begun to discover me. God can now be perceived in His world because I have sobriety.
Lord of all play, I dance before You in my world and I can stop to smell the roses.

Today I will choose to enjoy my life.....even if the outside lights blew a fuse, AGAIN.... Even if the inside tree lights are not done yet after 3 days because, A) had to go out and buy new lights because the new ones I bought last year dont work, and B) I am short one dang strand!!!!
Today I will choose to enjoy my life....even if I have PMS and feel fat and ugly and moody and crabby!!!!!!
Today I will choose to enjoy my life......even if I have to work tonight and just dont seem to have the time or energy to get all the things done I need to get done!!!!!
Today I will choose to enjoy my life......BECAUSE......I have a house to put lights on, a tree that will eventually have presents under it. I have a couple extra bucks to buy that last strand of lights. I am fat because I have money to buy food!!! Im really not that ugly (although if you saw me right now you might disagree!!!!!lol)
Today I will choose to enjoy my life.....BECAUSE....I have a job I love and am not in constant fear that I will be layed off or fired for bad behavior!! I am sober and this day is better than any day drunk!!!!

How LOVELY!!! Great pick me up!! And being that I am madly in love with 2 animals here in my home, I wholeheartedly agree... joy (and sleep) is where it's at! When I look at their simple loving happiness, it makes me truly grateful, and want to enjoy WHATEVER is going on.. it is LIFE and very precious.

P.S. what's all this crap about Christmas light problems?? I have gotten emails from friends today with the same problems. I have a tree WITH lights already in it. Simply pull out of the box, assemble and plug in!! Keep it simple!!

Hey Joni!!! Well the xmas tree lights are finally done and dont you know the outside lights blew a few...again!!! What the what!!!!! Auuugghhh!!!!!! Yes, I would love a tree with the lights already on it and just may buy one after the season! Actually, I could just carry my tree down to the basement , covver it n a bag and lug it up next year...hmmmmmmmm
and sleep rocks....just woke up after being screwed all night...opps! I meant being at work!!! Hahahaha Thants a whole other story and the way I look at it..its over now!!!! xo
