It's been about 9 months since being reborn. So happy and fortunate to have 2 birthdays to celebrate. So incredibly grateful the compulsion to drink left with all the baggage of the former life. The 1 talent I am incredibly grateful for is my ability to forget the things that bother, or hurt me. Eventually being discarded. A blurry memory. Collateral damage from having an intimate relationship with Mr. Smirnoff ?  Blissful ignorance ?  or maybe, just maybe I might be getting some of the more intricate workings of this program. Not sure.

That being said I have begun to get more involved. Sloppy snowstorm last night here on Manitoulin Island, and I made the meeting. There were 4 of us. Perfect time to chair for the 1st time. 3 old timers, and me. Guidance par excellence.

Thank you God, for continued healing in me. Thank you friends, for supporting me.

Wow, Scotty, that's Awesome. I love your gratitude, willingness & humility. You've hurt so deeply over the years & you're changing into having all of that as your good asset to helping others with obviously allowing yourself to be helped first. That's kind. I'm glad you got to do your first chair in style. I bet it was real quality & something felt shifted in you after. I find that everytime I do one it's like a real pivot. I hope you especially enjoyed your Sobriety on your bellybutton birthday. We really learn how to have fun & relax in our Sobriety. Congratulations on 9mths 1Day@aTime. You add such wealth to my recovery. Thanks for walking with us here as well as in your meetings. In loving Fellowship, Danielle x
