I second that.... and I will "have seconds" too!!!

The bird is in the fridge waiting to be stuffed and basted.... the chestnuts are roasting on an open fire... (well, not really)... but Jack Frost is indeed nipping at our noses this morning.

My animals are twirling around my feet wherever I go, as they know something delicious is upon us all for this afternoon!! LOL hungry.gif

Hope everyone here in the U.S. and Canada enjoys their Thanksgiving sober and content. And for the rest of the world, Happy day to you all as well! Any day SOBER is a day for Tanksgiving!

And to all our comrades and people, Brits, Americans and others, who are being held hostage in India, we are praying for your safe return. Life is precious....

I am Thankful again, that my home is warm and smells wonderful.... and my meal is turning out lovely!!

There was a time when I could not enjoy, much less prepare for such a wonderful, quaint and homey celebration. Just being able to enjoy the simple things like a hot meal prepared with a family member, being able to sit back and enjoy a hokey Holiday movie, talking, coffee and pie, taking a real nap instead of passing out from drunkeness.....  This is such a blessing frm our Higher Power, to be blessed so abundantly. I often forget that if we own a computer and internet, we are among the wealthiest people in the whole world. But for those of us here, our true "wealth" lies in the Peace of Mind that comes from sober living, and having all our senses acute and aware. Being able to enjoy what we never could, all the blessings we never noticed before.....

Happy thanksgiving!!!!! I too feel sooo blessed today to be happy, sober and fat!!!!! Joy joy joy!
Hope everyone enjoyed their day! Mine was great...Worked extra last night because unfortunately the hospital was overflowing and we didnt have enough staff! Worked like a dog for 17 1/2 hrs , slept 3 hours, hubby made the bird and got to visit relatives!!
Now getting ready to crash!

I agree with you all here! We are blessed !!!
