don't be nervous, just do it. It'll be a great jump start into recovery followed by a program of meetings and working the steps. Going to treatment will increase your chances of success my a good margin. I wish that I had early on, I might have saved 2 years of going in and out.

Hi Kevin,

Welcome to MIP. You'll find a lot of support here.

Well done on going into treatment. Please try not to be nervous. It could be the start of a wonderful new life for you. I didn't go into treatment and I know that it would have made a huge difference to the early days of my recovery. I know that you will get so much out of the whole experience.

Please keep posting and letting us know how things are going for you, won't you? We're all here for you.

Take care,

Carol

Good for you. Be thankful all you got was a DUI. A HG member went back out over the weekend, now he's up on vehicular murder charges! Sad......... But found myself thankful it wasn't me!
