And it was incredible! It is a 12x12 study which I needed. They were studying step 3, which is also just what I needed. It was a 90 minute meeting with the reading by all, a break for fellowship, a speaker, and plenty of time for folks to share.
It is well attended, LOTS of women, and just about every one of them came up and introduced themselves. It was fantastic. The women go to lunch every week after the meeting and they have game night once a month. I think I will go to lunch next week. I have to take things slowly - I get really overwhelmed and clostrophobic - but am so excited about this new opportunity for fellowship in my life.
I might have found a new sponsor - we are going to chat a bit to see if it is a fit.
And, today is an incredibly beautiful day. Our first "big" rain last night. It doesn't rain here ALL summer - so it gets very dry - we had LOTS of fires this year - so the air was thick after the long summer. The sky is partly cloudy and extremely blue through the clean air. The clouds are the big, tall, heavy clouds filled with rain that just come by and drop a little rain and move on. The smell of the air is incredible. I think I will grab the camera and take the dog for a walk in our pasture.
I hope everyone's day is wonderful. I am so thankful for today, being sober, and the ability to find myself again and experience peace.
