We're back from the hospital!!! All OK!

Hi Folks,

Well, Wednesday at 12:20 she went into the operating room, and at 2:30 she was out.  We came home yesterday, and while I should have popped in to let you know there was a 101 things-to-do and only a 75 things-to-do time slot. Go figure, huh. Sounds about right on par for life's things-to-do list.

However, everything went well, no complications and now she just has to recover from it. She's dealing with a cut from the belly button down on a slight angle, about 4-5 inches, the muscles are closed and an elastic thing put between the muscles and the skin to help keep them closed.  All this because they botched up an operation three years ago.  Long story, lets leave it there.

So remember folks, if life is giving you 101 things-to-do and only giving you a 75 things-to-do time slot. Don't panic, it's normal, just prioritize and get at it. You'll find that some of those last ones will simply fall off the list anyway.

Have a great sober day.

Hi Bruce,

Thanks for letting us know that your wife is back home and recovering from surgery. I do hope that she'll make a speedy and full recovery.

And, thanks for the comment about 101 things-to-do. That's right where I am now and I needed to read what you wrote.

Take care,

Carol

A bit of wisdom I once heard that stuck was- there are rarely more than three things that must be done in a day. If I look at this in the morning I usually find it to be true. If I stay in the day I will never have more than three things that must be done. If I am looking at the month ahead... well now I've got ninety things bouncing around in my head.
I don't know your situation, however it seems to have turned out well.

Thanks to you all, M.

Thank you Carol. and glad to have helped.

Marc, I used the 101 things-to-do loosely. But there were definitely more than three things to do, here's a short list:

  1. Throw out thee day old garbage.
  2. Feed my birds for the first time in three days
  3. Change their water
  4. Water the plants.
  5. Vaccum up the 2,463,652 (hint: I didn't count them) seed husks and feathers around the bird cage.
  6. Unpack the "we're going to the hospital bag"
  7. Do the laundry
  8. Run to the drug store for my wife subscriptions
  9. Pay the rent
  10. Pay three other bills that came while away
  11. Cook dinner for my wife
  12. Clean up
  13. Cook supper for us
  14. Clean up

Now having said that I do understand what you are saying.
Have a nice sober day.
Bruce

Hi Dean,

Well, you were away, I was away and now we're all back.  One big happy, extended family.

Liliana is feeling a bit better today, up and walking around the "neighbourhood" (bedroom, living room, balcony, kitchen, bathroom and back to the bedroom).

So yea, things are what they are suppose to be.

Have a great sober day.

Hi Bruce, so glad your wife is back home and doing ok.  You keep on looking after her the way you are doing and she will be back to normal in no time.

Just been reading your list of jobs to do and I couldnt help but laugh.  Those are day to day things for most of us ladies lol and jobs to do are the extra things that need doing.  Used to have that discussion with my ex when he wanted me to thank him for washing HIS tea pots up hehe.

God Bless and speedy recovery for you wife.
